From May 16 to 18, the 2025 Quang Binh Economic Zone Trade Union Women's Volleyball Tournament officially took place, gathering more than 60 athletes from 5 teams representing affiliated grassroots trade unions.
The tournament is a practical activity in response to Workers' Month and Month of Action on Occupational Safety and Hygiene.
The opening ceremony took place in a solemn atmosphere, with the participation of leaders of the Provincial Economic Zone Management Board, the Provincial Labor Federation, leaders of business units, sponsoring organizations and a large number of union members and workers.
Mr. Tu Ngoc Thinh - Chairman of the Provincial Economic Zone Trade Union, Head of the Organizing Committee - emphasized: "The volleyball tournament is an opportunity for female workers and civil servants to practice physical exercise, enhance exchanges, contribute to building grassroots cultural life and arouse the spirit of solidarity and dynamism in the entire trade union system".
After 3 days of exciting competition, the teams have contributed many beautiful and dramatic matches, demonstrating a noble sportsmanship and determination to achieve the best results.
The organizing committee will award 1 first prize, 1 second prize, 1 third prize, 1 style prize, and 1 consolation prize.
At the closing ceremony, representatives of the Provincial Federation of Labor and sponsors directly presented the awards, expressing their gratitude to the teams, referee teams, service units, medical forces, police, as well as press agencies for their timely support and reporting.
The tournament is not only a useful playground for female union members and workers but also contributes to tightening working relationships and spreading mass sports in units in the Provincial Economic Zone. This will be a premise for the Economic Zone Trade Union to continue to maintain and develop grassroots sports activities in the coming time.
