According to the report of the Social Insurance sector, by August 2025, the whole province of Dong Thap has 6,533 employers who are late in paying social insurance, health insurance, and unemployment insurance, with a total amount of 388.915 billion VND. Many units have long-term debts, affecting the rights of employees.
To overcome the above situation, the People's Committee of Dong Thap province has sent an official dispatch to departments, branches, sectors in the province and the People's Committees of communes and wards with the request to overcome the situation of late payment of social insurance, health insurance, and unemployment insurance.

Accordingly, the Chairman of the People's Committee of Dong Thap province requested units to direct agencies and affiliated units to strictly comply with the law on social insurance, health insurance, unemployment insurance; transfer social insurance, health insurance, and unemployment insurance in full and on time, to prevent late payment and insufficient monthly payment.
Within the assigned functions and tasks, the units will coordinate with the Provincial Social Insurance to remind and urge employers to deduct the late payment amount and fully pay the amount arising in the month; coordinate with the Provincial Social Insurance to collect documents and send them to the police agency for verification and handling according to regulations for employers with signs of criminal violations of social insurance, health insurance, and unemployment insurance.
For Dong Thap Provincial Police, officers will be directed and assigned to participate in inspection teams on social insurance, health insurance, and unemployment insurance organized by departments, branches, and sectors.
The Department of Home Affairs strengthens the implementation of thematic inspections of compliance with legal regulations on labor, employment, occupational safety and hygiene, and social insurance at employers; sanctioning administrative violations in the field of labor and social insurance according to regulations.
The People's Committee of Dong Thap province also requested the Provincial Federation of Labor to supervise the implementation of policies and laws on labor and social insurance at employers with established trade unions. Along with that, it is necessary to support and guide employees to authorize grassroots unions to file lawsuits at the Court when employers are late in paying or evade social insurance, health insurance, and unemployment insurance, affecting the legitimate and legal rights and interests of employees.
Dong Thap Provincial Social Insurance needs to well implement social insurance, health insurance, and unemployment insurance regimes and policies for employees according to regulations.
