In order to carry out the tasks assigned by the Prime Minister, the Ministry of Industry and Trade and Vietnam Electricity Group (EVN), EVNNPT is implementing two power transmission projects to ensure the supply of electricity to Nghe An province, while also serving the import of electricity from Laos to Vietnam.
Specifically, the 220kV Tuong Duong - Do Luong transmission line project is built through many communes of Nghe An province with a length of more than 80 km, including 2 lines, starting at 220kV Tuong Duong substation and ending at 220kV Do Luong substation.
The handover of the site has completed 192/192 foundation locations and 58/58 anchorage areas. The construction and installation of 192/192 pole locations has been completed; the cable pulling has completed 51/58 anchorages, and 7 anchorages are under construction.
The 220kV Do Luong - Nam Cam transmission line project passes through many communes of Nghe An province with a total length of about 37 km, building 2 transmission lines from the 220kV Do Luong to the 220kV Nam Cam transmission line. The project also includes the expansion of the road section at Do Luong 220kV substation to install equipment for the two 220kV road sections and connect the information system for the line.
The site clearance work has handed over 106/106 foundation locations and 50/51 anchorage areas. Construction and installation of foundation for 106/106 locations; erection of columns for 99/106 locations, and construction of the remaining 4 locations; has pulled the rope for 39/51 of the anchorage area and continued construction of the remaining anchorage areas.
At the construction sites, Chairman of EVNNPT Trade Union Trinh Tuan Son assessed these as two projects of special significance, contributing to the release of capacity of Nam Mo hydropower plant (Laos), Truong Son and Truong Son 2 wind power plants, while increasing power supply for Nghe An province and the Northern region from the upcoming hot season.
He acknowledged the efforts of the Central Power Project Management Board (CPMB) and contractors who have actively constructed and completed a large amount of work. Currently, the project is entering the final stage with a small remaining volume, but needs the strong participation of the entire political system to complete in November 2025.
The Chairman of EVNNPT Trade Union requested that units continue to focus on maximum human and material resources, determined to complete the entire project in November 2025, welcoming the 5th EVNNPT Trade Union Congress, term 2025-2030; towards celebrating the Vietnam Electricity Trade Union Congress and celebrating the 71st anniversary of the Vietnam Electricity Industry Traditional Day (December 21, 1954 - December 21, 2025).
The Chairman of EVNNPT Trade Union requested the CPMB Trade Union and the Trade Unions of units to pay attention and encourage workers at the construction site; launch a vibrant emulation movement during the final stage; mobilize maximum forces to speed up the progress of pulling the remaining anchorages. During the construction process, special attention must be paid to ensuring labor safety and equipment safety.
