At the meeting, the representative of the Party Delegation of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor informed the working delegation of the Central Committee for Mass Mobilization about some contents such as that some localities and authorities have not paid adequate attention to the interests of workers in the general policy to attract investment from enterprises; some Party committees have not maintained the annual working session of the Party Standing Committee with the Trade Union organization, have not selected capable cadres, suitable for their strengths to work as trade union cadres; there are also localities and trade union cadres at the committee level have not had the conditions to mature into key cadres...

Regarding the difficulties of Party members and workers, the representative of the Party Delegation of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor provided more information. Currently, in some localities, the number of workers suffering from serious illnesses is increasing; workers lack places to play and entertain, face difficulties in housing, stressful working hours, a lot of pressure, and low wages lead to them having to register for extra work, overtime, etc.

Speaking at the meeting, Mr. Nguyen Dinh Khang - Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Party Delegation, President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor - thanked the Central Committee for Mass Mobilization for its close coordination with the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor.

At the same time, the President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor provided some additional information related to the jobs and lives of union members and workers. Accordingly, currently union members and workers, especially those working in industrial parks and export processing zones, face many difficulties in housing - most of them have to rent rooms; there are no medical facilities in industrial parks and export processing zones, where there are many workers; many families of workers, because they cannot send their children to public kindergartens, have to send their children back to their hometowns to be with their families, so they lack parental love...

“In particular, due to the impact of the 4.0 industrial revolution, many businesses apply science and technology to production... which has affected the employment of workers. Therefore, the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor proposes to have a fund or program to support vocational training for workers to help them have enough capacity and skills to meet the needs of businesses, thereby, new workers have stable jobs and can easily find new jobs" - Mr. Nguyen Dinh Khang expressed his opinion...
