Urgently construct to take advantage of favorable weather
In early April 2025, the construction atmosphere at the construction site of the Ring Road 4 parallel road project, the section passing through Hoai Duc district (Hanoi) is being extremely urgent. Taking advantage of favorable weather, the construction site has almost no rest for the sound of the machines.
Mr. Nguyen Hong Son (from Ba Vi district, Hanoi) - a worker operating a crushed stone distributor - said that with the determination to complete the parallel road in 2025, all workers are sticking to the construction site during the Hung Vuong Commemoration Ceremony, together encouraging and striving to complete assigned tasks.
"The project requires ensuring progress, so we try to put aside the days of family reunion, temporarily forgetting the homesickness to work, hoping to complete this road soon" - Mr. Son shared.
Similarly, Mr. Nguyen Ba Hung (from Thai Binh) - a workers' operation of air conditioners - said that working through the ceremony could not help but feel sad, but because of their responsibility and the progress of the project, he and his colleagues were willing to stay. "Encouraged by the contractor, we are determined to work day and night, speed up the progress, and complete the set goals" - Mr. Hung said.
In package No. 9 - construction of the Ring Road 4 parallel road through Dan Phuong and Hoai Duc districts (51km long) constructed by Vinaconex - dozens of locomotives and a team of officers, engineers and workers were mobilized to work continuously in "3 shifts, 4 teams".
Mr. Hoang Trong Hai - Commander of construction team No. 1 - said that up to now, package No. 9 has reached about 56% of the contract value. The contractor has paved about 19km of single-line road, the remaining sections are being paved with crushed stone. Some items of the canal overpass are being urgently completed.
In time for the Hung Kings' Commemoration Day (March 10 of the lunar calendar), construction activities are still taking place normally. For the upcoming April 30 - May 1 holiday, although there is no specific plan, workers are ready to work through the holiday, keeping the project completion schedule this year" - Mr. Hai said.
According to him, with key projects such as Ring Road 4, contractors need to make the most of favorable weather conditions, increase overtime and overtime.
"Although it is difficult, the entire team of engineers and workers are united and determined to complete the project on schedule. The contractor will also allocate funds to support workers during major holidays, as a way to encourage the spirit of the brothers" - Mr. Hai emphasized.
Construction is continuous along the entire route
In package No. 8 - construction of the Ring Road 4 parallel road through Soc Son and Me Linh districts (13km) - a representative of Truong Son Corporation said that about 70% of the construction volume has been completed, ensuring progress according to plan.
"During the Anniversary Festival, the construction site is still maintaining normal construction. For the sections that have been handed over the site, the contractor consortium is committed to completing the project in 2025 - the contractor representative affirmed.
Similarly, package 10 (through Ha Dong district and Thanh Oai district) and package 11 (through Thuong Tin district) are also under construction throughout the ceremony. Contractors have simultaneously deployed many construction teams to ensure the progress of the entire route.
Started in June 2023, the Ring Road 4 project in the Capital Region has a total length of 112.8km, passing through Hanoi, Hung Yen and Bac Ninh, with a total investment of more than VND 85,000 billion.
In Hanoi alone, the route is more than 57km long, passing through the districts: Ha Dong, Soc Son, Me Linh, Dan Phuong, Hoai Duc, Thanh Oai and Thuong Tin.
After 21 months since the groundbreaking date, 4 construction packages in Hanoi have been deployed simultaneously, over a length of more than 48km, with 32 construction teams (including 23 road construction teams and 9 bridge teams).
Hanoi City aims to complete all site clearance work before April 15 and put the parallel road into operation in October 2025, welcoming the City Party Congress.
