More motivation for workers
Ms. Le Thi Ngoc Oanh - Head of the Department of Labor Affairs of the Da Nang City Labor Federation - said that in recent times, the Da Nang City Labor Union at all levels has effectively implemented Resolution No. 33/2024/NQ-HDND of the City People's Council on the entrustment of the city's budget capital through the Social Policy Bank Branch to lend to union members who are cadres, civil servants, non-professional workers and workers in difficult circumstances in the area.
In the first 5 months of 2025, Hai Chau district became a bright spot in disbursing this preferential loan source.
Mr. Dang Ngoc Vinh - an officer of Hoa Cuong Bac ward - has access to loans in a timely manner. Thanks to the support of the District Labor Federation, he was able to borrow 100 million VND for a 10-year term, with a preferential interest rate of 6.6%/year. This amount of money helps him repair the house to ensure stability and safety before the rainy and windy season. "I feel very happy that the roof has been renovated more solidly. The city's preferential loan policy not only reduces the financial burden but also adds motivation for us to work with peace of mind" - Mr. Vinh shared.
According to Mr. Nguyen Dinh Trung - Vice Chairman of the Hai Chau District Labor Federation, timely loans help many union members overcome difficulties. As of the end of May 2025, the district had 98 borrowers with a total disbursement amount of 9.6 billion VND; of which 36 were at the district level and 62 were at the ward level. For union members who are employees in enterprises, there are 11 cases of borrowing with a disbursement amount of 950 million VND.
This program brings important significance to socio-economic development and improving the quality of life of workers. This is also a fundamental solution to contribute to limiting and preventing "black credit" in the area" - Mr. Trung said.
Similarly, Ms. Nguyen Thi Thanh Thuy, a worker at Minh Huyen Trang Company Limited (Ngu Hanh Son District) expressed her gratitude to the trade unions at all levels and the City Social Policy Bank for supporting a loan of 100 million VND, helping her, in addition to her work at the company, to have the opportunity to run a beverage shop to increase her income and improve her life.
Hope workers use capital effectively
According to Ms. Pham Thi Trang - Vice President of Ngu Hanh Son District Labor Federation, as of the end of May, the district had 32 cases of access to loans, with a total disbursed amount reaching VND 3.19 billion. Through this capital source, the Trade Union organization hopes that union members and workers will use it effectively and for the right purpose to gradually improve their income and stabilize their lives.
Mr. Hoang Bach Tung - Chairman of the Hoa Vang District Labor Federation - said that in the first quarter of 2025, the district had 108 union members who are cadres, civil servants, part-time workers and workers in difficult circumstances borrowing capital with a total disbursement amount of 9.78 billion VND. The District Labor Federation actively grasps cases of cadres, union members, and workers who need to borrow capital to increase production, develop family economy, build new, repair houses, etc. to promptly guide and support access to loans.
Ms. Le Thi Ngoc Oanh - Head of the Department of Labor Affairs of the Da Nang City Labor Federation - informed that the total capital of this program currently allocated to the Da Nang City Labor Federation is 80 billion VND. Of which, capital for union members who are cadres, civil servants, and part-time workers will be disbursed VND 47.122 billion; loan capital for employees in enterprises will be disbursed VND 16.24 billion.
Reality shows that the implementation of preferential loan disbursement in the past has not only helped union members and workers reduce financial difficulties but also promoted socio-economic development, contributing to ensuring the city's social security work, said Ms. Oanh.
