Reforming administrative procedures, attracting investment
According to the People's Committee of Buon Ma Thuot city, in recent years, the locality has always led the results of the district-level administrative reform index in the province.
In particular, in 2024, the city will continue to become a bright spot leading the district in administrative reform with the PAR INDEX index reaching 95.86% .
At the Results Receiving and Returning Department of Buon Ma Thuot city, cadres always work with the motto "Stop work, not stop time" to serve the people.
Buon Ma Thuot City also effectively implements the third model "No Day of Writing" and the sixth model "No Day of Enforcement" in handling administrative procedures.
Mr. Vu Van Hung - Chairman of Buon Ma Thuot City People's Committee said: "In recent years, we have always thoroughly grasped and directed Party committees, authorities, professional departments... to carry out assigned tasks in a focused and drastic manner".
According to Mr. Hung, the responsibility of the head is important, focusing on discipline and working style, especially for cadres working at the one-stop department of 19 communes, wards and cities.
If many records of people and businesses arise, officials must work overtime to resolve them promptly and on time.
Not only making efforts to reform administrative procedures, the City People's Committee also made efforts to attract investment in many large projects in the area.
Currently, Tan An Industrial Cluster has 93 projects invested and implemented with an occupancy rate of 100%. Of which, there are 84 projects in operation, 7 projects under construction, 1 project undergoing investment procedures...
In particular, in March 2025, in Tan An Industrial Park, the investor broke ground and prepared for the largest Trung Nguyen Legend Coffee Factory in Southeast Asia. The project promises to create more jobs for local people.
Mr. Tran Duc Nhat - Vice Chairman of Buon Ma Thuot City People's Committee emphasized: "In 2024, the city's budget revenue will reach VND2,040 billion, reaching 102% of the provincial estimate and exceeding 18% over the same period in 2023.
This is a positive result, reflecting the recovery and stable development of the urban economy. Along with that, people's lives and average income have improved, social security work has been fully implemented, in accordance with regulations, ensuring the rights of policy beneficiaries".
According to Mr. Nhat, it is very necessary for the Politburo to agree to continue implementing a special mechanism for the city after switching to a two-level government model. This is a step to continue the existing policy and helps avoid disruptions in the process of arranging administrative units.
The special mechanism will create conditions for the city to effectively implement new development planning, strategic infrastructure investment, comprehensive digital transformation and smart urban construction. This is a central goal in Buon Ma Thuot's urban development strategy.
Accelerate budget collection, speed up project progress
According to statistics from the People's Committee of Buon Ma Thuot city, from the beginning of the year to the end of May 2025, the city's total budget revenue will reach more than 1,000 billion VND, reaching 36.6% of the estimate assigned by the City People's Council and reaching 51.39% of the estimate assigned by the province.
Mr. Pham Tien Hung - Permanent Vice Chairman of Buon Ma Thuot City People's Committee said: "After implementing the two-level government, localities will continue to develop and adjust zoning plans and detailed urban plans, ensuring socio-economic development goals in 2025".
In 2025, Buon Ma Thuot city sets a goal of gradually completing key transport projects.
Including the road project: Ton Duc Thang (with a total investment of about 565 billion VND); the project to upgrade and expand the Buon Ma Re - Buon Nieng traffic route (total investment of nearly 300 billion VND); Phan Huy Chu road project (total investment of 307 billion VND); the project to upgrade and expand the 19/5 road (total investment of 474 billion VND).
