Many meaningful activities during Workers' Month
Recently, the Vietnam Rubber Trade Union organized the launch of the 2026 Workers' Month and the 2026 Action Month on occupational safety and health. During the 2026 Workers' Month, the Vietnam Rubber Trade Union levels organized the "May Dialogue" program and the forum "Union members contribute ideas to build the Vietnamese Trade Union in the new era", the program "Thank you workers" and care for the material and spiritual life of union members and workers, the "Labor Skills - Sustainable Employment Day" program, the peak month to promote the innovation movement, digital initiatives, and improve labor productivity...
Some targets are set to strive for 80% or more of grassroots trade unions to implement at least one activity in response to Workers' Month; strive for 10% of union members and workers to propose initiatives, technical improvements or solutions to improve labor productivity, of which at least 30% will be applied to production and business practices at agencies and units.
Ms. Huynh Thi Cam Hong - Chairwoman of the Vietnam Rubber Trade Union - requested that all levels of the Vietnam Rubber Trade Union and units continue to pay attention to and care for the lives of workers in a practical and effective way, focusing on core issues such as employment, income, working conditions and living standards, so that workers can truly feel secure and attached to the unit.
Along with that, it is necessary to strengthen dialogue at the workplace, promptly listen to and resolve legitimate opinions and recommendations of employees, thereby building harmonious, stable and progressive labor relations in enterprises. At the same time, it is necessary to continue to promote the emulation movement for good labor, creative labor, encourage employees to promote initiatives, technical improvements, contributing to improving productivity, quality and production efficiency...
A support for workers
In the context of the world economy still facing many fluctuations, the rubber industry facing many challenges from the market and the requirements of sustainable development, trade union activities throughout the industry still clearly show their role as a solid support for workers. Since the beginning of 2026, the Vietnam Rubber Trade Union has synchronously implemented many solutions, both taking care of union members' lives and contributing to stabilizing production, business and building harmonious labor relations.
Propaganda and political and ideological education work is systematically and synchronously implemented by trade union levels in the sector. The content focuses on disseminating the Party's guidelines, policies and laws of the State, resolutions of the trade union organization and development orientations of the Group.
Through a system of specific directing and guiding documents, trade unions at all levels have promptly grasped the developments of thoughts, feelings, and aspirations of workers, thereby orienting public opinion and solving problems arising right from the grassroots level. This makes an important contribution to maintaining production stability and building harmonious and progressive labor relations in enterprises.
Patriotic emulation movements continue to be promoted, associated with production and business tasks. The Vietnam Rubber Trade Union has rewarded many collectives and individuals with outstanding achievements, creating motivation for emulation throughout the industry.
At the same time, the Vietnam Rubber Trade Union coordinated with professional departments to launch a 2026 emulation movement, aiming to complete and exceed production and business targets, in the context that the rubber market is showing signs of recovery but still contains many risks.
Currently, the Vietnam Rubber Trade Union manages 59 grassroots trade unions with 47,444 union members, including 21,791 female union members. Party building work is focused on through the discovery and fostering of outstanding union members. In the first quarter, trade union levels introduced 188 union members to the Party for consideration and admission, of which 53 people have been admitted. Activities to study and follow Ho Chi Minh's ideology, ethics, and style continue to be implemented in conjunction with the labor and production emulation movement.
Women's work is being implemented enthusiastically and practically on the occasion of International Women's Day March 8, with many rich activities such as contests, sports, culture, thematic seminars... attracting a large number of female union members to participate. The total implementation cost is nearly 2 billion VND. The activities not only improve spiritual life but also contribute to honoring the role of female workers in the rubber industry.
The results achieved in the first quarter show the increasingly clear role of trade union organizations in accompanying businesses and workers. Not only stopping at caring for life, trade unions also make an important contribution to stabilizing production, building a harmonious working environment, and promoting creative labor emulation.
The Vietnam Rubber Trade Union is continuing to implement key tasks in the second quarter, aiming to better care for workers, accompanying the Group to overcome challenges, and develop sustainably in 2026 and the following years.
During Workers' Month 2026, the Vietnam Rubber Trade Union supported the construction of 100 new Trade Union Shelters and repaired 50 other houses with a total estimated cost of 6 billion VND. At the same time, 1 billion VND was allocated to support units to implement the "Trade Union Light" program and grassroots cultural institutions.
The Vietnam Rubber Trade Union also visited and presented gifts worth 4 million VND/gift to 70 workers who suffered labor accidents and supported 300 workers in difficult circumstances at units, with a level of 1 million VND/person.
