The report on the survey results on the salary situation in 2024 and Lunar New Year bonus 2025 from 1,570 enterprises (employing 310,444 workers) of the Department of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs of Ho Chi Minh City shows that the actual salary paid to employees in Ho Chi Minh City in 2024 will average 12.4 million VND/month.
Of which, companies with shares and capital contributions dominated by the State pay an average salary of 12.9 million VND/month; the group of LLCs with 100% charter capital held by the State and enterprises with foreign investment pay an average salary of 12.5 million VND/month; the group of private enterprises, the average salary paid to employees is 12.2 million VND/month.
Also according to the Department of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs, the highest actual salary in Ho Chi Minh City belongs to a worker working at a foreign-invested enterprise, which is 863 million VND/month, equivalent to more than 10.3 billion VND/year.
The lowest actual salary paid to employees at private enterprises is 6 million VND/month, equivalent to 72 million VND/year, only about 0.69% compared to the highest salary paid to employees at foreign-invested enterprises.
