According to information from the Center for Human Resources Forecasting and Labor Market Information of Ho Chi Minh City, under the Ho Chi Minh City Institute for Development Studies on July 8, it is forecasted that human resource demand in the last 6 months of 2025 in Ho Chi Minh City will range from 151,282 to 159,040 jobs.
The human resource demand structure continues to be mainly concentrated in key industrial groups and key service groups.
In terms of technical expertise, the demand for trained human resources continues to account for the majority, with about 110,058 to 115,702 jobs, equivalent to 72.75% of total demand.
Of which, university degree or higher accounts for 23.66%, college degree accounts for 21.57%, intermediate degree accounts for 2219% and primary school accounts for 5.33%. The demand for unskilled labor accounts for about the remaining 27.25%.
This shows that the Ho Chi Minh City labor market is gradually shifting towards improving the quality of human resources, while posing requirements for training, fostering and skills development policies in line with the trend of digital transformation and increasingly deep international integration.
