According to the Decision, the Ministry of Science and Technology (MOST) has 14 public non-business units directly under it. In which, the Institute of Technology Application is reorganized into the National Innovation Institute.
The Minister of Science and Technology is responsible for promulgating the functions, tasks, powers and organizational structure of public non-business units directly under the Ministry; reviewing and arranging public non-business units under the Ministry to ensure streamlining, reducing focal points, operating effectively and efficiently, in accordance with the planning of public non-business units in industries and fields according to regulations.
Public non-business units under the Ministry of Science and Technology include:
1. Vietnam Atomic Energy Institute.
2. Vietnam - Korea Institute of Science and Technology.
3. National Institute of Innovation.
4. National Institute of Intellectual Property.
5. National Institute of Digital Technology and Digital Transformation.
6. Academy of Posts and Telecommunications Technology.
7. Vietnam Internet Center.
8. National Electronic Authentication Center.
9. Center for Science and Technology Communication.
10. Science - Technology - Communication Publishing House.
11. College of Information and Communications.
12. National Science and Technology Development Fund.
13. National Technology Innovation Fund.
14. Vietnam Public Telecommunications Service Fund.
This Decision takes effect from the date of signing and promulgation; replacing Decision No. 76/QD-TTg dated January 16, 2018 of the Prime Minister on promulgating the list of public non-business units directly under the Ministry of Science and Technology and Decision No. 1487/QD-TTg dated November 24, 2023 of the Prime Minister on promulgating the list of public non-business units directly under the Ministry of Information and Communications (old).
