Every 100g of amaranth provides only about 23 calories, along with a large amount of vitamins and minerals such as vitamins A, C, iron, and calcium. The fiber in amaranth helps prolong the feeling of fullness, thereby limiting snacking between meals, an important factor in weight loss.

To make amaranth effective in weight loss, the preparation method is very important. Steaming or boiling amaranth will retain high nutritional content and limit the addition of fat, helping to reduce excess calories.

Amaranth should be prepared simply, avoiding stir-frying with oil or processing into dishes with many spices to avoid increasing calories. Combining amaranth with protein-rich foods such as beans, skinless chicken, or fish can help balance nutrition and support the weight loss process more effectively.
