Speaking at the meeting and commendation, Deputy Minister of Education and Training Le Quan said that if in previous years, Vietnamese students regularly affirmed their positions in some traditional subjects such as Math, Physics, and Chemistry, now they still achieve very high results in both technical and technological subjects such as Informatics, science and technology competitions with a high teamwork spirit, even with the participation of excellent female students.

From this result, the Deputy Minister acknowledged that the early assignment of scientific research tasks, sending scientists, teachers, and practitioners to support students, and linking their studies with practice in career research has achieved good results.
At the ceremony, Associate Professor, Dr. Do Danh Bich, Head of the International Physics Olympic Committee (IPhO), Head of the Department of Physics, Hanoi National University of Education, expressed her honor to go along with the responsibility of the profession.
Mr. Bich believes that the success of the students is the result of a long process of effort. Behind the results we honor today are many years of silent training: long hours of classes, summer vacation in the lab, failures that force students to start over. It is during that process that students gradually form a scientific courage, a spirit of intellectual honesty and a sense of responsibility for knowledge - the core qualities of a future scientific person.
He said that many students have the potential to become excellent scientists, but currently the support mechanism for them to continue to develop systematically and long-term in the country is still not really synchronous. Without strategic and consistent policies, we could be at risk of wasting a very valuable intellectual resource.
Associate Professor, Dr. Do Danh Bich proposed that the State continue to research and develop national scholarship programs for students who have won international Olympic prizes, associated with spearhead sports and leading universities in the world. At the same time, a mechanism is being formed to encourage and attract returning home, creating a suitable environment for research, work and treatment so that they can return to make long-term contributions to the country.
Ngo Quang Minh, a 12th grade student (school year 2024 - 2025), Bac Ninh High School for the Gifted, Bac Ninh province ( International Chemistry Gold Medalist) shared that the difficulty in the journey to the Olympic exam is learning to overcome oneself. Overcoming the fatigue of school days that last until the whole city is asleep. Overcoming times when knowledge seems to be too vast and sometimes makes us feel small. Overcoming even failures in the auditions, scores falling lower than expected and a feeling of depression that lasted for many days.
Ngo Quang Minh shared that without the dedicated guidance of teachers, we certainly would not have been able to go this far. There are evenings when teachers sit with us for hours just to analyze a problem, a programming code that seems to have no answer.
"There are times when teachers worry more about our experimental data than we worry about ourselves. That heart, that sacrifice will always be the motivation for us to continue on the journey ahead" - she expressed.
