Ho Chi Minh City National University (VNU-HCM) announced the recruitment of outstanding young scientists and leading scientists to work at VNU-HCM, phase 1 (VNU350 Program).
This time, VNU-HCM recruited 101 working targets at member and affiliated units. In which, the recruitment quota for each school is as follows:

To apply for the VNU350 program, candidates must meet general conditions and standards such as: having a doctorate degree; being able to teach and research independently; having aspirations, ambitions, and desire to contribute and dedicate to the development of VNU-HCM in particular and higher education in Vietnam in general.
For young scientists, it is necessary to meet one of the following 4 criteria: Having scientific papers published in prestigious journals and conferences; Having a certificate of invention or invention that has been successfully registered; Having science and technology products that have been transferred; Having a new, promising research direction, in line with the VNU-HCM Development Strategy.
For leading scientists, it is necessary to meet the following 5 criteria:
Have experience and capacity, lead research groups or heads laboratories; Chair topics and science - technology projects; Having works published in prestigious scientific journals or owning exclusive invention and invention titles; Having experience in teaching and guiding graduate students; Having domestic and international relationships and cooperation (being a member of international science - technology organizations; participating in organizing international conferences and seminars; editing and reviewing articles for international journals).
Scientists working under the VNU350 program, in addition to the general treatment policy, young scientists will be given 1 type C scientific research topic for the first 2 years (maximum cost of 200 million VND). In the third year, he was granted a type B topic (maximum cost of 1 billion VND). In the fourth year, it is supported to invest in a laboratory for scientific research, with a maximum cost of 10 billion VND. In the fifth year, he was supported and guided in the procedures and processes for considering and recognizing the State-level Deputy Professor title.
For leading scientists, during the first 2 years, they will be granted 1 type B scientific research topic (maximum cost of 1 billion VND). In the following years, they will be supported to invest in laboratories for scientific research, with a maximum budget of 30 billion; supported to establish strong research groups; supported to register to chair the topic at all levels.
Regarding income, scientists are entitled to receive income according to the separate policies of each unit (including salaries, bonuses, allowances, income from teaching beyond standard hours, scientific research, instructing students, trainees, doctoral students, etc.).
At the University of Economics and Law, new professors will receive 350 million VND, associate professors will receive 250 million VND, and doctors will receive 150 million VND.
In addition, lecturers will be rewarded with 150 million VND when meeting the title of professor, 100 million VND when meeting the title of associate professor.
Average income at the school: lecturers with a doctorate degree and over 3 years of experience earn 35 million VND/month; associate professors 55 million VND/month, professors 65 million VND/month.
VNU-HCM aims to recruit 350 scientists under the VNU350 Program by 2030. In 2024, VNU-HCM recruited 23 scientists.
