According to the Ministry of Education and Training, amending and supplementing a number of articles of the Exam Regulations aims to guide participating units in registering the maximum number of candidates for the national team for each exam subject, while implementing the work of checking and supervising the stages of the Exam in accordance with regulations.
The draft maintains the maximum number of candidates registered for the national team for each subject of the unit as in previous years.

For merged provinces and cities, each subject requires a maximum of 20-30 candidates, depending on the location. Ho Chi Minh City alone sent 40 candidates.

"This regulation aims to avoid disruption and ensure the rights of candidates before implementing the arrangement of administrative units according to Resolution No. 202/2025/QH15 dated June 12, 2025 of the National Assembly" - the Ministry of Education and Training stated.
