According to statistics from the provincial Department of Education and Training, the impact of rain and floods caused by storms No. 10 and 11 has affected 35 schools and school sites. In particular, schools were mainly hit by landslides, some items collapsed and floodwaters separated.
The entire education sector of Cao Bang province suffered a loss of about 41 billion VND. Of which, the damage to school facilities (fence walls, classrooms, corrugated iron roofs, school gates, embankments...) was over VND19 billion 578 million.
Teaching equipment over 2 billion 241 million VND; other items over 445 million VND; damaged 3,335 sets of textbooks; property damage to cadres, teachers and staff in the education sector over 18.8 billion VND...

The Department of Education and Training is continuing to direct the careful review and statistics of students affected by damage to books and school supplies; developing a plan to mobilize support from the Education Promotion Fund, organizations, individuals, and philanthropists; receiving and allocating support to ensure publicity, transparency, and timeliness.

In particular, students from poor, near-poor households, and areas with special difficulties will be given priority for support, ensuring that no student's studies are interrupted.
Schools need to proactively develop a plan to organize compensatory teaching and learning, arrange reasonable timetables to ensure the completion of the curriculum and educational plans according to regulations, while maintaining the quality of teaching and learning.
