On November 21, in Hanoi, Ms. Ha Thi Nga, member of the Party Central Committee, Vice Chairwoman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front (VFF) chaired a meeting, giving opinions on the content of the 1st Congress of the Vietnam Fatherland Front of Dong Thap province, term 2025-2030.
Attending the meeting were Mr. Phan Van Thang, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Dong Thap province; leaders of the Departments in the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front and leaders of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Dong Thap province.
Presenting the content related to the 1st Congress of the Vietnam Fatherland Front of Dong Thap province, term 2025-2030, Mr. Tran Van Thi, Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Dong Thap province said that with the spirit of "Solidarity - Innovation - Accompanying - Developing", the draft political report aims to continue to "Innovate the content and methods of operation of the Vietnam Fatherland Front and socio-political organizations; promote the strength of the great national unity bloc and the role of mastery, self-reliance, cooperation, improving the lives of the people, building Dong Thap province to develop rapidly and sustainably".
From there, it is recommended to continue promoting the tradition and strength of national solidarity, enhancing social consensus, strongly arousing the spirit of patriotism, the will to self-reliance and self-strengthening the nation, the belief and aspiration to contribute and build the country, striving to build Dong Thap province into a province with rapid industrial development, pioneering in building ecological agriculture, modern countryside, civilized farmers, improving people's lives, progressive culture - society, national defense and security.
The expected number of members of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Dong Thap province for the 2025-2030 term is 120.
The 1st Congress of the Vietnam Fatherland Front of Dong Thap province, term 2025-2030, will take place over 2 days 4-5.12.2025 with the participation of 350 official delegates.
From the discussion opinions of delegates attending the meeting, Vice Chairwoman Ha Thi Nga suggested that the Standing Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Dong Thap province should base on the practical situation in the locality to absorb and edit so that the documents submitted to the Congress are consistent with the new context and new operating model of the Provincial Fatherland Front after the arrangement and merger.
Accordingly, the draft Political Report needs to specify the role of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, socio-political organizations, and mass organizations assigned by the Party and the State so that each organization can see its own image in each action program for the 2025-2030 term; at the same time, it is necessary to update and include in the draft the Resolutions issued by the Politburo and the Secretariat recently, to make the political report clearly demonstrate the spirit of response and consensus of the people, especially in participating in responding to climate change and environmental protection - a content that expresses the unique identity of Dong Thap province.
Vice Chairwoman Ha Thi Nga hopes that in the coming time, the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee; leaders of the Provincial People's Council and People's Committee will pay attention to directing departments, branches and sectors in the province to coordinate and support the Standing Committee of the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee in the process of preparing and organizing the Congress; pay attention to attending the 1st Congress of the Vietnam Fatherland Front of Dong Thap province, term 2025 - 2030 to promptly direct, encourage and contribute to the overall success of the Congress.
