On the afternoon of April 23, at the regular press conference of the Vietnamese Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Spokesperson Pham Thu Hang responded to the request to verify information on the relocation of President Ho Chi Minh's statue in Mexico.
Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Pham Thu Hang said that, according to information from the Vietnamese Embassy in Mexico, the Embassy is closely coordinating with the Mexican city government to restore the statue of President Ho Chi Minh at the Historical Center of Mexico City.
Spokesperson Pham Thu Hang stated clearly that this is a very important project, honoring President Ho Chi Minh - the great leader of the Vietnamese nation, National Liberation Hero, World Cultural Figure, and also a symbol of good friendship between Vietnam and Mexico.
Previously, under the supervision and security and safety assurance of the Mexican city government as well as the Vietnamese Embassy, the statue was moved to a place for maintenance and repair.
