Le Chuc An's journey to golf has been widely shared by the media for many years. However, this young golfer with a lovely face rarely shows his strong passion for golf but always quietly learns and improves his skills through each tournament. In the 2023 and 2024 seasons, Le Chuc An won the women's championship of the National Championship.
According to experts, Le Chuc An is one of the few female athletes in the history of the Vietnamese golf community to successfully defend the No. 1 position in 2 consecutive seasons at the National Championship.
Le Chuc An expressed: "The national championships all bring high professional value to me. But I still have to work harder in the next many tournaments. Personally, I was matured and practiced in the Vietnamese golf environment. When I had the opportunity to compete in international tournaments and practice outside of Vietnam, I felt there was a huge difference and had to learn more. In 2025, I have set some achievement goals for myself to achieve.
Le Chuc An has started 2025 quite smoothly. With the highest effort and the ability to compete effectively, she won the individual championship in the first leg of the VGA Junior tour 2025 Tace to Taylormade youth golf tournament of the Vietnam Golf Association on the course in Hai Phong (February 23).
At this time, Le Chuc An and the Vietnamese golf team will continue to participate in the 2025 Asia-Pacific Amateur Women's Golf Championship (closing on March 9). All expectations to achieve high results in the tournament were placed by the coaching staff on Le Chuc An. However, the cautious female golfer said that in sports, it is difficult to predict anything, but she is determined to compete successfully.
Seeking opportunities to conquer the 33rd SEA Games
Experts do not forget Le Chuc An's miraculous hit to achieve hole-in-one ( hitting 1 stick into the hole) at the 2022 National Championship. The organizing committee noted that for the first time in history, a female golfer achieved such a hole-in-one achievement. This is also the year that Le Chuc An officially competed in the 31st SEA Games. At that time, the female golfer turned 14.
I still remember that time as the youngest time in the national team and the youngest in the Vietnam Sports Delegation. The pressure cannot be avoided, but competing in an important tournament like the SEA Games brings me many honors, Le Chuc An talked about. At the 32nd SEA Games in Cambodia, Le Chuc An continued to participate.
In Cambodia, she once expressed that she was more mature than her first time participating in the 31st SEA Games, but the challenge of achieving results at the SEA Games is always a big challenge for Vietnamese golfers. However, the Vietnamese golf team was successful at the 32nd SEA Games when the male golfers won 1 Gold Medal, 1 Silver Medal, 1 Bronze Medal. Present on the field to witness the moment national team player Le Khanh Hung won the Gold Medal at the 32nd SEA Games, Le Chuc An was no less moved than his teammates because it was a historic result.
This year, Vietnamese golf will definitely participate in the 33rd SEA Games in Thailand. Le Chuc An has not given up on the goal of achieving medals in this arena.
