Vietnam women's team announces list of players to train in Japan

The Vietnam women's team will train in Japan from November 21 to prepare for the 33rd SEA Games.

Aiming to perfect the force and playing style before the 33rd SEA Games, the national women's team will leave for Japan to train from November 21 to November 30, with some personnel adjustments compared to the list announced on October 17.

After a month of physical training and tactics with the whole team, 5 players will not be with the training team, including Le Thi Thu, Luu Hoang Van, Ta Thi Hong Minh, Nguyen Thi Van (injured) and Tran Nhat Lan.

After Ho Chi Minh City Women's Club completed the group stage of the 2025-2026 Asian Women's Championship, with the achievement of reaching the quarter-finals, 6 players Quach Thu Em, Cu Thi Huynh Nhu, Huynh Nhu, Tran Thi Thu Thao, Nguyen Thi Kim Yen and Tran Thi Kim Thanh were added to the team by coach Mai Duc Chung. Two members of the coaching staff of Ho Chi Minh City club, coach Doan Thi Kim Chi and assistant Nguyen Thi Kim Hong, were also strengthened to the coaching staff, supporting professional preparation work.

According to the plan, from Viet Tri (Phu Tho), the national women's team will go straight to Noi Bai International Airport tonight (November 20), with 8 members flying from Ho Chi Minh City to Hanoi tonight, completing the flight departure procedures at 1:45 a.m. on November 21 and expected to land in Nagoya at 8:00 a.m. (local time).

During the 10 days of training in Japan, coach Mai Duc Chung and his team will have 3 friendly matches with teams from the university system in Nagoya, to evaluate the performance, coordination and tactical adaptation of the whole team.

At the end of the training program, the team will return to Ho Chi Minh City on November 30 and station for 2 more days to adapt to weather conditions and temperatures in the area. On December 2, the team will move to Chonburi (Thailand), ready to embark on the journey to conquer the 33rd SEA Games.
