On the evening of September 22, at the National High-level Athletes' Training Center, the Vietnam Shooting Federation held the opening ceremony of the National Shooting Championship - Vietnam Shooting Federation Cup in 2025 and awarded the first prize to athletes and coaches.
Mr. Do Van Binh - President of the Vietnam Shooting Federation said: "With the high determination of the Board of Directors of the Shooting Federation, this is the 5th time (since 2020), the Federation has hosted a national shooting championship in the high-performance shooting competition system using socialized funding, and has received the support of the Vietnam Oil and Gas Group (PETRO VI'T NAM) over the past 5 years".

This year's tournament took place from September 20 to October 2, with the participation of nearly 300 athletes from 12 units, sectors and localities across the country, including the Army, People's Public Security, Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, Phu Tho, Hai Phong, Quang Ninh, Thanh Hoa, Ha Tinh, Quang Nam, Dak Lak, Dong Nai.
Some excellent shooters in Vietnam also participated in the competition such as Trinh Thu Vinh (2 times in the 2024 Olympic final); Pham Quang Huy (ASIAD gold medal 2023); Le Thi Mong Tuyen (atus for the 2024 Olympics); Nguyen Thi Mai Chi - gold medalist of the 2025 Asian Shooting Championship...
At the tournament, athletes will compete in 33 competitions, including Compak Sporting flying disc shooting; Trap, men's and women's flying disc shooting, team mixing; air handbags, fast- firing handbags, sports handbags and 3-phase guns for men and women, team mixing, mobile air rifle.
Athletes competed in 34 sets of medals, including 28 individual medals, 28 team medals and 5 mixed medals.
In particular, in order to develop flying disc shooting in Vietnam, the organizing committee has included Compak Sporting flying discs in the medal competition in the high-performance shooting competition.
In 2025, the Southeast Asian Shooting Association also included Compak Sporting flying disc shooting in the official competition program at the 47th SEASA and 33rd SEA Games.

Through the national championship, the Vietnam Sports Administration, the Vietnam Shooting Federation and localities will send a delegation of athletes to participate in the 47th Southeast Asian Shooting Championship (SEASA) in Thailand.
Accordingly, the Pistols and rifle competition will take place from October 6 to October 15, 2025; the Trap and Skeet shooting event will take place from October 15 to October 31 in Thailand.
By December 2025, Vietnamese shooting will participate in the competition of sungoline, rifle, Trap, Skeet and Compak Sporting at SEA Games 33.
