On December 15, at the Government headquarters, Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha chaired a meeting to listen to reports on preparations to organize the inauguration ceremony and start construction of large-scale and meaningful projects and works on December 19 - National Resistance Day, to celebrate the 14th National Party Congress.
According to the report of the Ministry of Construction, by December 14, the Ministry had compiled 237 projects and works of ministries, branches, localities, corporations and general companies in 34 provinces/cities that were eligible to start construction and inauguration.
Of which, 151 projects and works were started; 86 projects and works were inaugurated and technically opened to traffic. The total investment of projects and works is over 3.4 million billion VND (state capital is over 627 trillion VND, other capital sources are over 2.79 million billion VND).
The Ministry of Construction proposed the organization of 79 locations (equivalent to the 79th anniversary of the National Resistance War) including: 1 central location, 11 direct locations, 67 online locations.
Regarding emulation and reward work, Deputy Minister of Home Affairs Cao Huy said that the Ministry of Home Affairs has closely coordinated with the Ministry of Construction, issued specific instructions to ministries, branches and localities to propose and summarize 59 cases of reward proposals, including 28 collectives and 31 individuals to award the Labor Medal of all ranks and 48 Certificates of Merit from the Prime Minister.
Concluding the meeting, the Deputy Prime Minister agreed on the plan to organize 79 connecting points corresponding to the 79th anniversary of the National Resistance Day, including 5 direct connecting points with exchanges, 7 direct connecting points with images during the ceremony and online connecting points.
Emphasizing the requirements for technology, infrastructure and transmission, the Deputy Prime Minister requested that relevant agencies such as Viettel and VNPT not let incidents affect the ceremony happen.
For the central bridge point, the Deputy Prime Minister assigned Hanoi City to urgently report on December 15 on the ability to fully meet the criteria of the project, the project will start construction in the area, as a basis for considering the selection, ensuring the scale, significance and success of the event.
Regarding emulation and reward work, the Deputy Prime Minister requested to urgently review, recall and send urgent documents to ministries, branches and localities. The scope of this award focuses on socio-economic infrastructure projects, security - defense, not only in the field of transportation but also including energy, healthcare, education, culture, sports, etc.
Ministries, branches and localities will base on the proposed list of works to select and introduce typical collectives and individuals, including management agencies, state-owned enterprises, private enterprises and direct employees, ensuring worthy participation, the right subjects and fully implementing procedures according to regulations.
Each proposed project needs to be associated with representative organizations and individuals to commend and reward in a timely manner.
