On December 1, Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha chaired a meeting with ministries and branches on preparing to organize the inauguration ceremony and start construction of large-scale and meaningful projects and works, to celebrate the 14th National Congress of the Party.
According to the report of the Ministry of Construction, as of November 30, the Ministry has compiled 232 projects and works of ministries, branches, localities, corporations and general companies in 34 provinces/cities that are eligible to start construction and inauguration. Of which, 149 projects and works were started; 83 projects were inaugurated. The total investment of the projects and works is 1,123,700 billion VND.
Of the 79 locations, it is expected that 34 locations will have the participation of leaders of the Party, State, National Assembly, Vietnam Fatherland Front, leaders of the Government, ministers, heads of ministerial-level agencies attending and directing.
Concluding the meeting, the Deputy Prime Minister emphasized that the event was held at the time of summarizing 5 years of implementing national strategic tasks, especially breakthroughs in infrastructure development, socio-economics, education, healthcare, national defense and security; and welcomed the 14th Congress.
The Ministry of Construction urgently prepared documents for the event, fully assessed the results, achievements, difficulties and challenges that have been overcome; emphasized outstanding contributions, policies to remove obstacles, and innovate mechanisms; drawn lessons and orientations for the next 5 years.
The Ministry of Construction shall preside over focal points and coordinate with ministries and branches to review and orient key projects, ensuring criteria, scale and dissemination.
Ministries, branches and localities propose major projects and works, comprehensively ensuring the fields: Infrastructure, economy, education, health, energy, agriculture, environment, culture, sports...
Regarding the script and event program, the Ministry of Construction coordinated with Vietnam Television, VNPT, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, and the Ministry of Science and Technology to develop detailed scripts for 34 locations, in which priority was given to selecting typical works as central locations.
The event must ensure the dissemination and comprehensiveness of the works, demonstrating the socio-economic contributions and efforts of state management agencies; at the same time, honor outstanding artists and individuals who have contributed to the development of culture, economy and society.
Giving his opinion on emulation and reward work, the Deputy Prime Minister emphasized that this is an occasion to summarize 5 comprehensive years. The Ministry of Construction coordinates with the Ministry of Home Affairs, the Emulation and Reward Board, ministries, branches and localities to make a list of worthy collectives and individuals, ensuring iconicity and typicalness.
Documents, reports and project categories must be completed promptly, ensuring that events and reward work are not delayed.
The Deputy Prime Minister emphasized that the inauguration ceremony and groundbreaking ceremony of large-scale and meaningful projects and works to celebrate the 14th National Party Congress is an important event, comprehensively reflecting 5 years, creating a new atmosphere.
Ministries, branches and localities must implement seriously and proactively, ensuring the work is completed before December 19.
