Politburo member and Standing member of the Secretariat Tran Cam Tu has just signed and issued a Directive of the Secretariat on organizing Binh Ngo Tet in 2026.
Accordingly, the Secretariat requested Party committees, Party organizations, authorities, the Fatherland Front and socio-political organizations at all levels to strengthen solidarity and unity within the Party, consensus in society, promote the tradition of "mutual love and support", and organize well the care of people's lives.
The Secretariat requested to focus on overcoming the consequences of natural disasters, floods; urgently completing the repair and construction of damaged houses and essential public works; ensuring people have a safe and stable place to live and live to celebrate Tet.
Speed up the implementation of projects, complete assigned social housing targets; continue to review, repair, and renovate, not leaving temporary or dilapidated houses in the area.
Support, create conditions, mobilize resources to help and care for the poor, people in difficult and disadvantaged circumstances, policy families, workers, unemployed workers, lonely elderly people, orphans, children in especially difficult circumstances and ethnic minorities, people in remote areas, disadvantaged areas, disaster areas, border areas, islands, ... to ensure every home and every person can enjoy Spring and celebrate Tet.
Agencies, localities and units have prepared well the conditions to ensure timely payment of salaries and Tet bonuses to employees.
Organize well the visit, encouragement, and New Year greetings to revolutionary veteran cadres, Vietnamese heroic mothers, war invalids, sick soldiers, martyrs' families, families with meritorious services to the revolution, families of policy minds, intellectuals, artists, prestigious people among ethnic minorities, outstanding religious dignitaries, armed forces units, standing forces on duty during Tet in border areas, islands, remote areas, especially difficult places, and complex areas of political security, order, and social safety.
The Secretariat noted the need to organize and manage cultural activities, celebrate traditional days, summarize the year, meet at the beginning of the year, planting Tet, festivals, and spring festivals to ensure practicality, civilization, thrift, avoid formality and waste; in accordance with the cultural lifestyle, traditions, customs, and good practices of the nation.
Localities should base on conditions and practical situations to decide on organizing fireworks displays to celebrate the New Year, creating a united, joyful and exciting atmosphere among the people, but need to ensure savings and absolute safety.
The Secretariat requires the synchronous and effective implementation of plans to ensure national defense, security, and foreign affairs without being passive or surprised in any situation; maintaining political security, order, social safety, and safety in cyberspace.
The Secretariat requires absolute safety protection of key goals and projects, political, foreign affairs, cultural and social events; strengthening prevention, detection, combat, and strictly and promptly handling all types of crimes and social evils.
The Secretariat also requested to strengthen inspection, supervision, and strict management of the market, ensuring a balance of supply and demand of goods and services and stabilizing prices; ensuring food safety, air, and domestic water sources.
