On the morning of March 10, the National Assembly opened the 43rd session of the National Assembly Standing Committee.
Speaking at the opening, National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man said that this was the first session after the reorganization of the National Assembly committees at the 9th extraordinary session. Previously, the National Assembly Standing Committee decided to reorganize the apparatus of the Ethnic Council and the National Assembly committees, starting work immediately.
The Government also coordinated with the National Assembly Standing Committee to implement 4 laws passed at the extraordinary session and 11 important resolutions related to the work of organizing the apparatus and related to socio-economic issues.
The National Assembly Chairman assessed and immediately took action to ensure that after the arrangement of the Government and the National Assembly apparatus, it has created conditions for people and businesses to access administrative procedures and work solutions.
The National Assembly Chairman also emphasized the huge workload with higher requirements and greater responsibilities, especially the new tasks related to reviewing and amending the 2013 Constitution, and related laws according to Conclusions 126, 127 of the Politburo and the Secretariat. In addition, the volume of legislative work and regular work is also very large.

In particular, the laws included in the 2025 law-making program alone, there are 11 laws that must be passed, 16 laws for comments, not including the laws according to Conclusions 126, 127 and other resolutions that the Government plans to propose additional additions to.
In April, the National Assembly Standing Committee may hold many sessions to reorganize the administrative apparatus of communes.
"There will be many meetings of the National Assembly Standing Committee, which can be held all day, Saturday, Sunday and night to arrange administrative units that localities and Governments submit to ensure progress" - Mr. Man said.
Mr. Tran Thanh Man noted that many contents of the Politburo are required to be completed before June 30, so the 9th session can open half a month earlier, right after the April 30 and May 1 holidays. Therefore, agencies need to actively coordinate in perfecting and developing laws to submit to the 9th session.
Accordingly, the content submitted to the National Assembly at the 4th session must basically be considered in April. The draft revised Law on Elections of National Assembly and People's Councils must be completed in March to be submitted to competent authorities and submitted to the Central Committee in April.
The project and plan for the election of deputies to the 16th National Assembly and People's Council deputies at all levels for the 2026-2031 term must also be completed in March to ensure that the Central Committee will be submitted in April.
"I have issued an official document assigning the Vice Chairmen of the National Assembly to be in charge, assigning the committees to coordinate with relevant agencies to implement. Agencies need to closely follow the direction of the Central Government, the Politburo, and the Secretariat in implementing tasks, preparing the contents to submit to the National Assembly Standing Committee to ensure progress and quality, and preventing the situation of requesting to postpone to the next session - the National Assembly Chairman requested.
The 43rd session of the National Assembly Standing Committee took place over 2.5 days (10-11 March and closed on the afternoon of 14 March.
