Chairman of the Czech Senate satisfied with the success of business connectivity activities

Senate President Milos Vystrcil expressed his satisfaction with the success of the connection between the Czech business delegation and Vietnamese businesses.

On the afternoon of November 21 at the National Assembly House, Politburo member and National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man held talks with Chairman of the Czech National Assembly Milos Vystrcil.

National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man affirmed that Vietnam always attaches importance to promoting traditional friendship and multifaceted good cooperation with the Czech Republic, Vietnam's first strategic partner in Central and Eastern Europe.

Senate President Milos Vystrcil expressed his satisfaction with the success of the connection activities between the Czech business delegation and Vietnamese businesses within the framework of the visit; affirmed that the Czech Republic always wishes to further deepen the cooperation between the two countries in all fields.

Senate President Milos Vystrcil affirmed that the Czech National Assembly supports and will continue to urge the remaining EU member states to soon ratify the Vietnam - EU Investment Protection Agreement (EVIPA).

In a friendly, sincere and open atmosphere, the two leaders informed each other about the situation in each country; highly appreciated the positive progress in the relationship between the two countries in recent times, demonstrated through visits and contacts between the leaders of both sides, as well as the effective cooperation between the two National Assemblies.

The two leaders agreed to continue to increase contacts and delegation exchanges at all levels, especially at high levels, through all channels of the Party, State, Government, National Assembly and people to further enhance political trust and mutual understanding, as a foundation for promoting and expanding bilateral cooperation in all fields.

Emphasizing the importance of cooperation between the two National Assemblies in the overall relationship between the two countries, the two sides agreed to increase exchanges of high-ranking delegations of the National Assembly, specialized committees, groups of friendly parliamentarians, groups of female parliamentarians and young thinkers, to exchange information and experiences in the field of parliamentary activities; cooperate in supervising, urging and supporting the two Governments to effectively implement cooperation agreements between the two countries.

The two sides assessed trade and investment cooperation as one of the important pillars in bilateral relations; welcomed cooperation projects between the two countries in Vietnam such as Skoda Automobile Manufacturing Factory and Mong Duong 2 Thermal Power Plant in Quang Ninh province.

The two sides agreed to soon develop an Action Plan to implement the framework of the Vietnam - Czech Strategic Partnership for the 2025-2026 period; further deepen bilateral cooperation in the fields of trade - investment, science - technology, education - training, health, culture, labor, tourism, renewable energy, nuclear energy, national defense - security, digital transformation, environmental protection, local cooperation...; encourage airlines of both sides to study opening direct flights between the two countries to promote tourism, people-to-people exchanges and bilateral economic cooperation.

National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man thanked and requested authorities at all levels of the Czech Republic to continue to facilitate the integration and stabilization of the Vietnamese community in the Czech Republic; affirmed that the community is a vivid bridge of friendship between the two peoples, contributing positively to the Vietnam - Czech relationship in particular and the Vietnam - EU relationship in general. The President of the Czech Senate affirmed that the Czech government and people always support and have special affection for the Vietnamese community in the Czech Republic.
