On the afternoon of July 3, in Hanoi, Politburo member and National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man chaired a meeting with the National Assembly agencies to review the activities of the first 6 months of the year, identifying key tasks for July and the last months of 2025.
In his concluding remarks, National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man emphasized that the first 6 months of this year are a journey of historical significance, the country has had a clear transformation with many great and comprehensive marks in all aspects from economy, culture, society, national defense, security to building the political system.
The National Assembly Chairman stated that the National Assembly agencies have completed a very large amount of work. Among them, there are many difficult, new, arising, unprecedented tasks.
According to the National Assembly Chairman, the National Assembly has perfected the legal system for the new era, promoting institutional reform, creating momentum for development.
The National Assembly has enhanced the effectiveness of supreme supervision, focusing on key areas, and recommending strong solutions.
The questioning sessions are increasingly in-depth, focusing on core issues, creating clear changing pressure on subjects performing public duties.
The National Assembly continues to innovate the session's operation methods on the basis of promoting digital transformation and applying technology. Many Committees have applied artificial intelligence in performing their tasks.
At the same time, National Assembly deputies also actively applied technology and artificial intelligence in parliamentary activities. Online meetings, electronic document management, open data platforms to support legislative and supervisory activities are synchronized, contributing to shortening time and reducing costs.
According to National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man, the National Assembly has completed on schedule and with quality the tasks assigned by the Central Committee, the Politburo, and the Secretariat on the arrangement of the organization and apparatus according to Resolution No. 18.
The National Assembly Chairman suggested that agencies focus on proposing, unifying planning and taking drastic action to promote the role of the National Assembly as an " institutionality architect", "popular democracy", "the locomotive of innovation" and "a bridge of international integration" in the new era.
Along with that, continue to proactively review and update new viewpoints and instructions to advise on amending, supplementing, and issuing new documents to suit reality.
Research and develop policies to supplement funding to support localities to invest, upgrade headquarters, build public housing, equip facilities, information technology infrastructure and working conditions at commune-level public administrative service centers in a more modern direction to work more effectively.
The National Assembly Chairman pointed out that streamlining the apparatus and arranging administrative units is only the first step; the responsibility of the National Assembly, including the role of advisory agencies, must continue to synchronously perfect the Party's institutions and regulations and the State's laws in accordance with the new organizational model.
At the 9th Session, we passed 34 laws and 14 legal resolutions. I request the Ethnic Council and the National Assembly agencies to monitor and supervise the implementation of these Laws, especially the promulgation of documents guiding the laws and resolutions, ensuring the synchronous validity of the laws and resolutions" - the National Assembly Chairman emphasized.
The National Assembly Chairman also requested that the National Assembly agencies focus on and further promote digital transformation. Pay more attention to the regime, policies, thoughts and aspirations of cadres, civil servants, public employees and workers at the agencies of the National Assembly and the National Assembly Office.
