On February 28, the 13th Special Session of the Provincial People's Council, term IV, 2021-2026, was held to review and decide on a number of important contents.
At the 4th Provincial People's Council Session, term 2021-2026, the delegates reviewed and unanimously approved the proposal to merge and establish specialized agencies under the Dak Nong Provincial People's Committee.
Dak Nong province established the Department of Finance on the basis of merging the Department of Planning and Investment and the Department of Finance. The new Department of Finance basically inherits the functions and tasks currently assigned to the Department of Planning and Investment with the Department of Finance.
Establish the Department of Agriculture and Environment on the basis of merging the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development and the Department of Natural Resources and Environment.
Establish the Department of Science and Technology on the basis of merging the Department of Information and Communications and the Department of Science and Technology.
Establish the Department of Home Affairs on the basis of merging the Department of Home Affairs and the Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs.
Establish the Department of Construction on the basis of merging the Department of Construction and the Department of Transport.
Establish the Department of Ethnic Minorities and Religions on the basis of the Ethnic Committee and receive the functions, tasks and organization of the State management advisory apparatus on beliefs and religions from the Department of Home Affairs.
Thus, after the arrangement, Dak Nong will have 13 departments and 1 equivalent agency, a reduction of 5 units compared to 2024.
After the merger, 16 specialized departments will be reduced, 2 equivalent branches will be reduced and 5 affiliated public service units and 1 state financial fund outside the budget will be reduced.
