Informing the delegates attending the meeting, General Secretary To Lam said that the fight against corruption, waste and negativity continues to be promoted at both the central and provincial levels. There are absolutely no signs of liquid, hot in the air and cold in the air.
In the first 6 months of the year, 1,776 new cases/4,038 defendants were prosecuted for corruption, economic crimes, and positions. The Standing Committee of the Provincial Steering Committee for Anti-Corruption, Wastefulness and Negativity has organized 114 meetings and 185 meetings to advise the Steering Committee on selecting areas that are prone to corruption, wastefulness and negativity, and public concern to conduct many inspections and supervisions;
Focus on advising and directing the removal of difficulties and obstacles, speeding up the investigation progress, and handling many cases and incidents under the supervision and direction of the Steering Committee; proactively propose to include 53 serious, complicated corruption, waste, and negative cases that the public is interested in and is monitored and directed by the Steering Committee;
Put 72 new cases and cases under the supervision and direction of the Provincial and Municipal Party Committees; direct the final handling and removal from the monitoring, direct 143 serious, complicated corruption, waste, and negativity cases and cases that are of public concern; at the same time, advise on directing and resolving 173 cases and cases, especially cases and cases related to projects that are behind schedule and have long-term progress.
Emphasizing the Party's policy, General Secretary To Lam stated that the work of preventing and combating corruption, waste and negativity must best serve the task of socio-economic development, successfully organize Party congresses at all levels and the 14th National Party Congress, resolutely not allowing cases of degradation, corruption, waste and negativity to enter the new term Party Committee.
Strengthen the prevention and fight against corruption and waste in localities and grassroots levels, contributing to building a truly honest, close-to-people, and effective, efficient, and effective two-level local government apparatus.
Focus on preventing, proactively identifying, forecasting, and warning violations early and remotely, not allowing small violations to accumulate into major violations; resolutely not allowing old violations to recur; there are cases that must be verified and clarified; actively, urgently, and clearly handling them as much as possible, if there are signs of crime, investigation must be prosecuted and the crime must be prosecuted and tried according to the provisions of law; cases that have not yet reached the level of criminal handling must be strictly disciplined according to the regulations of the Party, State, and organizations, there are no forbidden areas, no exceptions, so as not to dare to corruption, waste, or negativity.
The General Secretary also said that disciplinary action against cadres at all levels, including cadres under the management of the Politburo and the Secretariat, has been carried out methodically, in compliance with the law, the right people, the right crimes in the spirit of "no forbidden areas, no exceptions, everyone is equal before the law", and has been supported and highly appreciated by the people. The forms of discipline applied not only demonstrate the strictness of the law but also demonstrate humanity and compassion.
