On the afternoon of January 10, in Hanoi, Politburo member, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh attended the conference to summarize the work in 2025 and deploy tasks for 2026 of Vietnam Television (VTV).
According to VTV's report, along with content innovation, digital transformation continues to be identified by the Station as a strategic pillar.
Total revenue of the entire Station in 2025 is estimated at over 4,200 billion VND, an increase of nearly 9% compared to 2024, exceeding the set plan; regular expenses decreased by 7% compared to the plan, thereby creating a stable financial foundation and gradually improving the material and spiritual life for officials, employees, and laborers.
2026, VTV identified as a pivotal year to shift from stability - consolidation to acceleration - breakthrough. The focus is on innovating the thinking of television production in the digital age; taking viewers as the center; taking high-quality content, data and technology as the foundation; tightening professional discipline; improving management efficiency and financial autonomy.
At the conference, on behalf of the Party and State leaders, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh awarded the First-class Labor Medal to Vietnam Television, the Third-class Labor Medal to Deputy General Director of VTV Do Thanh Hai, and Certificates of Merit from the Prime Minister to collectives and individuals.

Speaking at the conference, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh highly appreciated and praised VTV for well performing the tasks assigned by the Prime Minister at the 2024 year-end conference. At the same time, VTV also participated in doing well in social security work.
The quality of national television stations is measured by the number of viewers watching and enjoying programs, which is also a noble reward that the people give.
Regarding streamlined apparatus, VTV has carried out the work of reviewing and arranging the organizational apparatus, in which it has reduced 7 units compared to the beginning of 2025 (reduction of 23%); reduced 45 department-level units (reduction of 22%); implemented staff streamlining according to Decree 178.
In the coming time, the Prime Minister proposed that VTV better implement the 32-word motto: "Unity - Overcoming difficulties to rise up - Innovation - Professionalism and efficiency - Comprehensive breakthrough - People trust - Friends love - Brand elevation", which focuses on a number of key contents.
Accordingly, further promote the role of the main media agency, improve the quality and effectiveness of information and communication and ideological orientation. Clearly identify this as an important and consistent political task of VTV. Research and contribute strategic advisory services to the Party and State on information and communication. Do a good job of playing a bridging role between the people and the Party and State and serving the people.
