The Prime Minister emphasized that the presence of the high-ranking delegations of Cambodia and Laos is a great encouragement and support for Vietnam.

On the morning of September 2, at the Government Headquarters, Politburo member and Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh had a meeting with President of the Cambodian People's Party (CPP), President of the Cambodian Senate Hun Sen on the occasion of the high-ranking Cambodian delegation to Vietnam to attend the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day on September 2.

The Prime Minister affirmed that Vietnam always attaches importance to and always gives high priority to consolidating and developing good neighborly relations, traditional friendship, comprehensive cooperation, and long-term sustainability with Cambodia. The Prime Minister emphasized that the presence of high-ranking delegations from Cambodia and Laos, armed forces of the two countries, and parades and parades at the historic Ba Dinh Square is a great encouragement and support for Vietnam.

President Hun Sen expressed his joy and honor to attend the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day on September 2; highly appreciated the significance of the 80th anniversary of the Vietnam National Day, demonstrating the strength of great national unity in the resistance war crimes against foreign invaders, gaining national independence and being a source of inspiration for the movement to fight for independence from the colonial headquarters of oppressed ethnic groups in the region and the world.

President Hun Sen also expressed his admiration for the achievements in Vietnam's economic, social and foreign development, under the wise leadership of the Communist Party of Vietnam.

The two leaders were pleased with the important results achieved; highly appreciated the regular contacts and exchanges between the two leaders, demonstrating the close relationship between the two Parties and the two States; acknowledged the comprehensive and close relationship between the two countries and the cooperation between the ministries, branches and localities of the two countries that have been constantly consolidated and increasingly developed, contributing positively to the economic and social development of each country; agreed to actively promote the historical value of the traditional friendship between Vietnam - Cambodia and the three countries of Vietnam - Cambodia - Laos; expand markets for each other as well as exploit each other's potential and strengths to promote economic, trade and investment cooperation, promote tourism and border gate connections.

On this occasion, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh suggested that President Hun Sen pay attention to and support the two governments in coordinating the organization of cooperation mechanisms such as the Joint Committee on Economic, Cultural, Scientific and Technical Cooperation and the 13th Conference on Cooperation and Development of Border Provinces in Cambodia in the fourth quarter of 2025, the 2nd Vietnam - Cambodia Border Defense Friendship Exchange, coordinate with Laos to organize a good annual meeting between the 3 Defense Ministers of Vietnam - Cambodia - Laos in 2025.

Along with that, facilitate businesses of one country to invest and do business in another country, create conditions to increase exports of cement, steel, and construction materials from Vietnam to Cambodia, enhance transportation connectivity; at the same time, actively exchange and negotiate to resolve the work of demarcation and setting up land border markers as well as facilitate the community of Vietnamese people to feel secure, stabilize their lives, and actively contribute to the prosperous development of Cambodia and the friendly relations between the two countries.
