On March 19, according to the Ministry of National Defense's Information Portal, the Ministry of National Defense has just issued Decision No. 757/QD-BQP to merge the Ministry of National Defense Social Insurance and the Department of Policy, reorganizing it into the Department of Policy - Social under the General Department of Politics.
According to the decision, Major General Doan Quang Hoa was appointed to the position of Director of the Department of Social Policy.
Major General Cao Xuan Thang was appointed to the position of Deputy Director of the Department of Policy and Social Affairs and Director of the Military Social Insurance (SI).
Regarding this work, the General Department of Politics of the Vietnam People's Army has just held a conference to hand over the Department of Policy and Social Insurance of the Ministry of National Defense to the Department of Policy and Social Affairs.
Senior Lieutenant General Le Quang Minh - Deputy Director of the General Department of Politics of the Vietnam People's Army - chaired the conference.
At the conference, delegates listened to the Minutes on the handover of functions, tasks, organization, staffing and a number of other tasks from the Department of Policy and Social Insurance of the Ministry of National Defense to the Department of Policy and Social Affairs; listened to the Minutes on the handover of social insurance and health insurance work tasks in the Ministry of National Defense.
Speaking at the conference, Senior Lieutenant General Le Quang Minh requested: Party committees and commanders of the Department of Social Policy and Management to quickly stabilize the organization and staffing; assign and assign specific tasks, and implement activities in accordance with their functions and tasks.
At the same time, quickly perfecting Party committees and Party cells to lead and direct the preparation and successful organization of the Party Cell Congress for the 2025-2027 term and the Party Congress of the Department of Politics and Social Affairs for the 2025-2030 term.
Senior General Le Quang Minh noted that the Party Committee and commanders of the Department of Social Policy urgently develop and promulgate regulations and rules on each aspect of work, promptly supplement and complete the 2025 work plans in accordance with new functions and tasks, ensuring the inheritance of the plans of the two agencies approved by the Director of the General Department of Politics.
