Lieutenant General Nguyen Ngoc Toan becomes assistant to the Minister of Public Security

    The Prime Minister appointed Lieutenant General Nguyen Ngoc Toan to hold the position of assistant Politburo member and Minister of Public Security.

    Politburo member and Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh signed Decision 399/QD-TTg on the appointment of Lieutenant General Nguyen Ngoc Toan - Director of the Department of Party and Political Affairs, Ministry of Public Security - to hold the position of Assistant to General Luong Tam Quang - Politburo member, Minister of Public Security.

    The term of appointment is 5 years.

    The above decision takes effect from February 25, 2025.

    During his working career, Lieutenant General Nguyen Ngoc Toan has held many different positions. Before holding the position of Director of the Department of Party and Political Affairs, Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Toan was Director of Cao Bang Provincial Police since July 2018, Director of the Department of Political Staff of the People's Public Security and Deputy Director of Nam Dinh Provincial Police.
