Vietnam is ready to share the model of building raw material areas and agricultural and aquatic product supply chains with Morocco.

Within the framework of his official visit to the Kingdom of Morocco, on the afternoon of July 25, local time, Politburo member and National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man attended a seminar on policies to promote Vietnam - Morocco cooperation.

Speaking at the seminar, National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man said that the seminar is a valuable opportunity for Vietnamese - Morocco businesses to exchange and learn about investment cooperation opportunities to promote sustainable economic cooperation, bringing practical benefits to both sides.

The National Assembly Chairman emphasized that Vietnam always cares about and values friendly countries in Africa, especially Morocco.

According to the National Assembly Chairman, the potential for economic, trade and investment cooperation between Vietnam and Morocco is huge, but has not been exploited accordingly. Bilateral trade turnover is still modest and direct investment projects between the two countries are still limited.

The seminar is a valuable opportunity for the two sides to discuss and find solutions to remove barriers, perfect the legal framework, and promote sustainable economic cooperation.

Sharing some key orientations in investment cooperation between Vietnam and Morocco in the coming time, National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man proposed to complete the bilateral legal framework. The two countries need to review and sign the missing agreements, and promote public-private partnership (PPP) in key industries.

The National Assembly Chairman affirmed that Vietnam is ready to share the model of building raw material areas, agricultural and aquatic product supply chains, export processing centers and commodity exchanges suitable to the climate and social conditions of Morocco.

At the same time, the two sides need to strengthen business connections. Business associations, such as VCCI Vietnam and Morocco's partners, need to promote trade programs, exhibitions and fairs so that businesses of the two countries can seek specific cooperation opportunities.

Regarding multilateral cooperation in Africa, the National Assembly Chairman stated: "Morocco, with its increasingly important strategic position and role in Africa, can work with Vietnam to implement tripartite or four-way cooperation projects, especially in the fields of agriculture and technology, with the participation of international donors. Vietnam's strengths are agriculture, textiles, footwear..."

Regarding the exchange of legislative experience, National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man suggested that the Vietnamese National Assembly, the House of Councilors and the House of Representatives of Morocco regularly exchange and create a favorable legal corridor for Mar Mar offese businesses to invest in Vietnam, and at the same time, Vietnamese businesses to invest in Morocco.

At the seminar, representatives of Vietnamese ministries and branches introduced Vietnam's investment environment; proposed solutions to promote trade and industrial cooperation between Vietnam and Morocco, and orientations to strengthen cooperation between the two countries in the agricultural sector.

Enterprises of both sides also exchanged and shared investment opportunities in a number of fields.

At the seminar, the two sides exchanged Memorandums of Understanding on promoting Vietnam - Morocco investment cooperation.
