Responsibilities of principals for extra teaching in the summer

The Lao Dong Newspaper Legal Consulting Office replied:

Article 13 of Circular 29/2024/TT-BGDDT of the Ministry of Education and Training stipulates the subjects of extra teaching and learning, and stipulates the responsibilities of principals as follows:

1. Organize extra teaching and learning in schools according to the provisions of this Circular and other relevant legal provisions.

2. Management of teachers who are teaching at school when participating in extra-curricular teaching must ensure compliance with the provisions of Clause 3, Article 6 of this Circular; coordinate in monitoring and inspecting extra-curricular teaching activities of teachers who are teaching at school.

3. Responsible before the direct management agency for the quality of extra teaching and learning in schools; the management and use of funds for organizing extra teaching and learning in schools according to regulations.

4. Handling according to authority or recommending competent authorities to handle violations of regulations on extra teaching and learning.

5. Receive and process opinions, recommendations, and wishes of students and parents on extra teaching and learning before and during the implementation process.

Thus, the Principal has the above responsibility for teaching extra classes during the summer.
