6 kiosks burned down in the Dong Khe market fire in Cao Bang

Tân Văn |

Cao Bang - A major fire on the evening of May 25 burned down 6 kiosks at Dong Khe market.

On May 26, the People's Committee of Thach An district informed that at around 8:00 p.m. last night (May 25), a serious fire broke out at Dong Khe market, Dong Khe town, Thach An district, Cao Bang province.

According to information from the People's Committee of Thach An district, the fire broke out in the kiosk row in the market.

People living nearby discovered the fire rising from the kiosk row, so they shouted and reported it to the authorities. Immediately after receiving the report, firefighters and specialized vehicles arrived at the scene, coordinating with local people to control the fire.

After more than an hour of efforts to put out the fire, the fire was controlled and extinguished. Although there were no human casualties, the fire completely burned down 6 kiosks, causing estimated damage of up to billions of VND.

According to the records, the burned kiosks have an area of about 25m2 each, built with an iron frame, corrugated iron roof and temporarily covered with plastic tarpaulins and bamboo stakes.

Business households mainly sell dried goods, agricultural products, votive paper - items and materials that are easy to catch fire. Therefore, the fire spread quickly and engulfed the entire row of kiosks in a short time.

Currently, traders are coordinating with authorities to count the damage. The cause of the fire is being investigated and clarified.
