From August 21 to now (August 23), the impact of storm No. 4 caused prolonged heavy rain in Quang Ninh province, causing the amount of water from upstream flowing to reservoirs to increase rapidly.
According to a report by the People's Committee of Quang Ninh province, the total water volume at large reservoirs in the province currently reaches about 311.7 million m3, equivalent to 94.3% of the total designed capacity of 330.4 million m3.
To ensure the safety of the project and proactively welcome floods, many large reservoirs continue to be regulated and water levels lowered.

Yen Lap Lake is discharging with a flow of 142m³/s; Cao Van lake 89m³/s; Trang Vinh lake 64m³/s; Chuc Bai Son lake 58m³/s; Ha Dong Dam Lake 51m³/s; Khe Giua lake 50m³/s and Quat Dong lake 17m³/s.
Yen Lap Quang Ninh Irrigation One Member Limited Liability Company is currently assigning management, exploitation, operation and protection of 50 reservoirs in the province. These works serve water supply for about 27,000 hectares of agricultural production.
Faced with the diễn biến of heavy rain, the unit is organizing the operation and regulation of all 50 reservoirs, maintaining 24/24 hour duty forces to monitor rainfall, water levels and water inflow to the reservoir.
