Ho Chi Minh City Police stepped up propaganda to clean up population data, encouraging people to report errors to ensure legitimate rights.

On October 8, 2025, the Department of Administrative Management of Social Order, Ho Chi Minh City Police sent a document to the Department of Culture and Sports of Ho Chi Minh City and the Ho Chi Minh City Press Center to promote propaganda work to ensure "correct, complete, clean, and alive" population data in the city.

According to Ho Chi Minh City Police, identifying "correct, sufficient, clean, and alive" population data as the core task, "backbone" in the goal of national digital transformation, the City always pays attention to and regularly directs the daily data cleaning work. The content includes: collecting original data "going to every alley, knocking on every door"; regularly updating, reviewing and verifying information; inter-sectoral coordination to resolve problems with documents and applying updated technology via citizen identification cards and electronic identification.

Ho Chi Minh City Police said that for the task to be effective, it requires the support of the people, ensuring legitimate rights and interests. People are encouraged to report errors in data in 3 ways: go directly to the police of the commune, ward, or special zone where they live; call the hotline 0693187111; or report on the VNeID application according to specific instructions.
