On December 6, the leader of the People's Committee of Krong Ana commune, Dak Lak province confirmed that a drowning incident had just occurred in the area, killing a mother and child.
Initial information, on the afternoon of December 5, Ms. T.T.T (39 years old, residing in Krong Ana commune) took her daughter H.T.A.V (6 years old) by motorbike to the field in the area to pick coffee. While traveling on the road, Ms. T was suspected of getting lost, causing her motorbike and her mother and child to fall into the fields.
Immediately after discovering the incident, passersby and authorities quickly responded to the rescue and searched for the mother and child. However, rising water levels and strong currents made rescue work difficult.
By the evening of the same day, the authorities coordinated with the people to find the bodies of Mrs. T and her daughter and hand them over to the family for funeral arrangements.
Local leaders said that the mother and child died after falling to the field while picking coffee. In recent days, heavy rain has caused the water level to rise in this area. The locality is organizing visits and encouragement for the victim's family in difficult circumstances.
