Accordingly, the results of the competition for the architectural design plan of Dien Bien Phu Youth Volunteer Monument, including 1 Second Prize and 2 Third Prizes (out of a total of 5 participating units), promise to create an iconic project in the historic land.
The Dien Bien Phu Youth Volunteer Monument project is expected to be built at the intersection between the old National Highway 6 and the new National Highway 6 (Tu Tinh commune, Tuan Giao district). The research land area for this project is about 4.2 hectares.

According to Lao Dong's research, the design plan for the second prize belongs to the Construction Technology Consulting and Transfer Office - Hanoi University of Architecture.
The design is highly appreciated for its beautiful, modern architectural language, ensuring balance and harmony between the functions of a youth Volunteer Monument Square but carrying the breath of vibrant and humane contemporary life. At the same time, the production line site has reasonable functions and convenient transportation.

The design impressed with the idea of "Youth volunteers can sacrifice but are determined not to let the traffic artery get blocked".
This heroic slogan is considered the soul of the plan, honoring the sacrifice and important role of the youth volunteer force in ensuring smooth the main route to the Dien Bien Phu front.

The main items include: Square, steps leading up, cultural exchange space, traditional cultural market, relief panels, resorts, AR and VR service centers, monument yards, pillars and symbols and public service centers...
Green Road is the third prize winning design of Viet Xanh Architecture Design Joint Stock Company. This is the main idea of the project to connect the past - present, wartime - peace.
The design is experienced in a first space with broken lines, centuries of being "popular", simulating the fierce war of 8. The next space carries soft lines of the "bright" tone, symbolizing peace.

The main items include: Walking bridge, buffer space in front of the ceremony area, traditional market, rest stop, hut, bell tower for services, monument, etc.
The third prize was also awarded to a project designed by Vietnam Construction Consulting Corporation - JSC (VNCC).
The main design idea is to create a multi-functional park that maximizes the natural terrain elements of the built land, honoring the generation of young volunteers and frontline workers - not only those who sacrificed in the Dien Bien Phu campaign but also the young volunteers and frontline workers who are still living and contributing their efforts to society.

The main items include: Reception Park, pedestrian bridge, monument block... The central monument is described in a realistic style with 6 characters.
