Lai Chau Provincial People's Committee has just issued Plan No. 4898 on organizing activities to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the successful August Revolution (August 19, 1945 - August 19, 2025) and the National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam (September 2, 1945 - September 2, 2025).
Specifically, the province will organize fireworks displays from 9:00 p.m. to 9:15 p.m. (September 2) in the Ho Ha floating island area, Tan Phong ward. With a scale of 90 low-altitude fireworks displays.
Previously, on the same morning, the provincial flag-raising ceremony will be solemnly held at 2 locations: Provincial People's Square, Tan Phong ward, expected for about 1,500 people; and Than Uyen commune stadium.
According to the Organizing Committee of Lai Chau Province's 2025 Independence Tet, from August 30 to September 2, many activities of the festival and festival will take place in Than Uyen commune. In which, the ceremony includes the following activities: Martyrs' cemetery visitation ceremony; incense offering ceremony at the Traditional House of Ban Luot historical relic site; Flag-raising ceremony.
The festival includes activities: Solidarity Roundabout; traditional ethnic culinary competition, shoe handling competition of Than Uyen, Muong Than, Muong Kim, Khoen On communes; KOMOMO Than Uyen 2025 international race; ethnic sports competition; En tail boat racing...
According to Mr. Tran Manh Hung - Director of Lai Chau Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the province aims to build the Independence Festival into a separate tourism product to attract tourists. The province will try to organize the best, ensuring safety so that people and tourists can celebrate the 2025 Independence Festival impressively.
