According to the People's Committee of Dong Nai province, the Bien Hoa City Central Road Project is a key project of the province, and the project's progress has been delayed by 500 days. The reason is that the construction site is stuck, so far only 124 households have been handed over about 66% of the area (20.7 hectares of household land, traffic, rivers and streams). However, the handed over site has not been continuous, leading to the failure to synchronously implement construction items.
Dong Nai Provincial People's Committee requested the Dong Nai Provincial Land Fund Development Center to coordinate with Bien Hoa City People's Committee to urgently carry out compensation and site clearance work, promptly hand over clean land to the investor to carry out construction work, first of all the construction area of Thong Nhat Bridge, Vam Ong An Bridge and branches 1 and 2 of the traffic road section...
Mr. Ngo The An - Director of the Dong Nai Province Traffic Construction Investment Project Management Board said that in the past, the construction contractor mainly only had the construction site for the bridge piers under Cai River. Meanwhile, the construction area of piers T13, pier M2 in Hiep Hoa ward and the area from pier M1 to pier T3 in Thong Nhat ward encountered many difficulties due to not having enough land handed over.
Explaining the delay in handing over the land, a representative of the Dong Nai Province Land Fund Development Center said that the review and resettlement arrangements were carried out by the Bien Hoa City Compensation Council, but to date, the resettlement areas serving the project have not yet been built with infrastructure as originally planned. Therefore, it is difficult to mobilize people to hand over the land.
The project to build the central axis road of Bien Hoa city is 5.4 km long, divided into 2 branches.
In which, branch 1 starts at the intersection of Vo Thi Sau Street and ends at the intersection of Dang Van Tron Street (at An Hao Bridge intersection) with a road section 3.1 km long, 60 m wide, and Thong Nhat Bridge section 563.8 m long, 31 m wide.
Branch 2 has its starting point at the roundabout intersection with branch 1 (Hiep Hoa ward), its ending point is at the intersection of Dang Van Tron street (at the intersection of Buu Hoa bridge head road) with a route length of about 1.7 km, roadbed width of 47 m.
The Bien Hoa City Central Axis Road Project with Thong Nhat Bridge and the road connecting the two ends of the bridge with a total investment of more than VND 1,506 billion was started on January 31, 2023 and is expected to be completed after nearly 3 years of construction.
