The first earthquake occurred at 0:41:16 on August 31, with a magnitude of 4.0 degrees, at the location with coordinates 14.904° North latitude - 108.153° East longitude, focal depth of about 8.1km. The earthquake occurred in the area of Mang But commune, Quang Ngai province.
The remaining battles will occur in the following hours with the epicenter located in Mang But commune. Among them, the largest battle has a magnitude of 4.0, the smallest battle is 2.8; the focal depth is about 8.1km.
