On the morning of October 21, Dong Hoi City (Quang Binh Province) experienced heavy rain. Some roads such as Hai Ba Trung, Quang Trung... were flooded with about 20cm of water, making it difficult for vehicles to move.
Quang Binh Hydrometeorological Station said that from October 19 to the night of October 20, the province will have scattered showers, some places will have moderate rain, with total rainfall ranging from 5-30mm.
It is forecasted that from now until the evening of October 22, there will be rain in some areas, with moderate to heavy rain in some places; with total rainfall ranging from 60-140mm, with some places over 170mm.
Warning from the night of October 22 to October 23, Quang Binh area will still have rain, moderate rain, heavy rain in some places with common rainfall from 20-50mm, some places over 60mm.
Heavy rain is forecast to cause flash floods and landslides in Tuyen Hoa and Minh Hoa districts; and mountainous areas of Bo Trach, Quang Trach, Quang Ninh and Le Thuy districts.
Flooding in low-lying areas, riverside areas; urban areas. During thunderstorms, there is a possibility of tornadoes, lightning and strong gusts of wind.
