According to data from Vietnam Electricity Group, at 2:00 PM on June 6th, in the Northwest region, Son La Lake had the largest water inflow in the country, reaching 1,120m3/s. The lake water level is at an elevation of 194.83m, about 20m lower than the normal water level of 215m.
Hoa Binh Lake reached an altitude of 98.59m, 18.41m lower than the normal water level of 117m. Notably, the power generation flow through the plant reached 2,888m3/s, more than 15 times higher than the water flow to the lake (187m3/s).
Lai Chau, Ban Chat, Huoi Quang and Thac Ba reservoirs are also operating for power generation, but the water level is all significantly lower than the normal water level. Among them, Huoi Quang reservoir is only less than 1m higher than the dead water level.
In the North Central region, Trung Son Lake reached 154.68m, 5.32m lower than the normal water level; Ban Ve Lake reached 176.36m, nearly 24m lower.
Khe Bo Lake has a water level of 63.96m, close to the dead water level and generates electricity with a flow rate of 212.4m3/s.
In the South Central region, A Vuong, Song Bung 2, Song Bung 4, Song Tranh 2 reservoirs and Vinh Son reservoir group continue to maintain water levels 5-20m lower than normal water levels.
Song Ba Ha Lake generates electricity with a flow rate of 120m3/s, while Song Hinh Lake generates electricity at 15.22m3/s.
In the Central Highlands, many large lakes such as Thuong Kon Tum, Pleikurong and Ialy are 14-20m lower than the normal water level.
Meanwhile, the group of reservoirs on the Se San river system maintains a water level near the normal level. Buon Kuop Lake is one of the few reservoirs that discharges through the spillway with a flow rate of 15.57m3/s.
In the Southeast region, Tri An reservoir has a water level of 55.56m, 6.44m lower than the normal water level. The inflow to the reservoir reached 290m3/s, while the power generation flow reached 381m3/s.
According to the forecast of the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, on June 6, the midland and delta regions of the Northern region will be hot during the day, with intense heat in some places with the highest temperature commonly 35-36 degrees Celsius, and in some places above 37 degrees Celsius.
The area from Thanh Hoa to Da Nang city and the eastern provinces from Quang Ngai to Dak Lak have hot and intense heat, especially intense in some places with the highest temperature commonly 35-38 degrees C, in some places above 39 degrees C.
The Southern region has showers and thunderstorms in some places, especially in the late afternoon and evening there are scattered showers and thunderstorms, locally heavy rain in some places.
