On March 25, Mr. Nguyen Anh Tuan - Director of the Management Board of Huong Khe District Construction Investment Projects - said that the Huong Khe District Water Plant and Clean Water Supply System Project for the People of Huong Khe Town and 8 surrounding communes in Huong Khe District has basically been completed.
Currently, 450 water meters have been installed out of a total of 650 that need to be installed for households in the water supply project.
According to Mr. Tuan, recently, the Electricity side changed, converting the power grid from 22kV to 35kV. Therefore, currently, the Water Plant and Clean Water Supply System Project for the people of Huong Khe town and 8 surrounding communes of Huong Khe district are having to request adjustments to replace the equipment and some lightning-proof equipment and systems to suit the power grid, otherwise they will be burned and damaged.
This delay is due to objective reasons. If it is not related to electricity, it will be put into operation," said Mr. Tuan.
Mr. Tuan added that on March 17, the People's Committee of Huong Khe district issued a document proposing a policy of adding volume, adjusting implementation time, construction contract price and related consulting packages for the Water Plant project and clean water supply system for the people of Huong Khe town and 8 surrounding communes of Huong Khe district.
After being approved by the Provincial People's Committee for adjustment, the People's Committee of Huong Khe district will focus on implementing the remaining contents to strive to complete and put the plant into operation to provide clean water to the people from June 2025.
As Lao Dong reported, the People's Committee of Ha Tinh province has just issued a document urging the progress of the Water Plant and Clean Water Supply System Project for the people of Huong Khe town and 8 surrounding communes in Huong Khe district.
According to the document, the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee paid special attention, directed and requested handling many times to soon complete and hand over the above-mentioned Clean Water Project for management and use.
However, the Investor, relevant departments and localities were slow to implement, lacking attention to urging and handling related contents.
Therefore, the Chairman of the People's Committee of Ha Tinh province requested the Chairman of the People's Committee of Huong Khe district and the Director of the Department of Construction to seriously implement the direction of the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee.
The People's Committee of Ha Tinh province assigned the Director of the Department of Construction to preside over and coordinate with the Department of Home Affairs, relevant agencies and units to review the entire project implementation and implementation process, clarify the reasons for the delay, and the responsibilities of relevant organizations and individuals to report and advise the Provincial People's Committee to direct and handle before March 31, 2025.
Require that at 3:00 p.m. every Friday, the project progress must be reported so that the province can know, direct, and urge implementation.
The Huong Khe Town and 8 surrounding communes of Huong Khe District Water Plant and Clean Water Supply System Project has a total investment of nearly 230 billion VND, invested by the People's Committee of Huong Khe District.
According to the approval, the project must be implemented from 2020, and must be completed by June 2022. However, the project was delayed twice and was scheduled to be completed in September 2023. However, the project is still behind schedule, so up to now, the People's Committee of Ha Tinh province is continuing to urge.
