On November 24, speaking with a reporter from Lao Dong Newspaper, Mr. Dinh Van Bay - Deputy General Director of Xuan Khiem Group Joint Stock Company - said that in the past, unfavorable weather and prolonged rain have caused the unit's plan to put the Temporary Rest Stop on the Ham Nghi - Vung Ang section of the expressway into operation.
"Now, it only takes a few days or three days of sunshine for us to pave the road to the station, then we will put it into temporary operation. We currently plan to temporarily put it into operation in early December, Mr. Bay shared.
Previously, Mr. Dinh Van Bay - Deputy General Director of Xuan Khiem Group informed about the plan to put the Ham Nghi - Vung Ang Expressway Temporary Rest Stop into operation on September 2, then September 20 and then the end of September, but both were late.
The reason is believed to be due to unfavorable weather, prolonged rain and storms, which affected the construction progress and plan.

The rest stop on the Ham Nghi - Vung Ang expressway has an area of 10 hectares (5 hectares on each side), and will be implemented from April 2025.
According to the contract schedule, this rest stop will be completed in June 2026.
Currently, the rest stop on the expressway section Dien Chau - Bai Vot in Duc Quang commune (Ha Tinh province) with an area of 6 hectares (3 hectares on each side) won the bid by the consortium of Vietnam National Petroleum Group (Petrolimex) - Thua Thien Hue National Petroleum Company is also under construction.
The North-South expressway project in the East passing through Ha Tinh has a total length of more than 107 km with 4 component projects in 2 phases 2017 - 2020 (Dien Chau - Bai Vot expressway) and phase 2021 - 2025 ( Bai Vot - Ham Nghi, Ham Nghi - Vung Ang and Vung Ang - Bung expressways).
On the expressway through Ha Tinh, there are 2 rest stops located in Duc Quang and Cam Hung communes.
