On November 13, the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development of Thanh Hoa province issued an official dispatch providing information and data on irrigation and dike projects/works in the period of 2021-2024 to serve the development of the 2025 Inspection and Examination Plan of the Thanh Hoa Provincial Inspectorate.
Irrigation projects and works in Thanh Hoa province in the period of 2021 - 2024 managed by the Irrigation Sub-Department include: Emergency treatment of Hang Ca lake (Thanh My commune, Thach Thanh district), implemented in 2021, with a total value of more than 11.7 billion VND; emergency treatment of Xuan Lai lake (Ben Sung town, Nhu Thanh district), with a value of more than 4.7 billion VND; emergency treatment of Khe Tre lake (Yen My commune, Nong Cong district) and Yen Lac commune (Nhu Thanh district), with a value of nearly 12 billion VND; dyke maintenance and repair project in 2021 in Thanh Hoa province, with a value of over 44.8 billion VND; urgent treatment of landslides on the right dike of Chu river (Minh Tam commune, Thieu Hoa district), with a value of nearly 15 billion VND; dyke maintenance and repair project in 2022 in Thanh Hoa province, with a value of nearly 40 billion VND; 2023 dike maintenance project in Thanh Hoa province, worth nearly 39 billion VND; 2024 dike maintenance project in Thanh Hoa province, worth nearly 36 billion VND.
All projects and works have been paid and settled, only the 2024 dike maintenance project in Thanh Hoa province is being implemented.
Some construction enterprises regularly present at the above projects and works are: Yen Dinh - Thanh Hoa Traffic Management and Construction Joint Stock Company; 81 Investment and Construction Joint Stock Company; Duy Chau Construction and Trading Company Limited; Hoang Trung Construction Joint Stock Company; Vinh Dinh Construction Company Limited; Cuong Ha Construction and Trading Company Limited.
The most prominent are Vinh Dinh Construction Company Limited and Cuong Ha Trading and Construction Company Limited. These two units have constructed many irrigation and dike projects over the years.
The works and projects assigned to the Management Board of Projects for Investment in Construction of Agricultural Works and Rural Development of Thanh Hoa Province include: Irrigation water supply system of Tinh Gia district (now Nghi Son town), with a total investment of more than 240 billion VND; sub-project on investment in repairing and upgrading dikes in 2020, Thanh Hoa province, under the urgent and critical project on dikes and natural disaster prevention in the period 2016 - 2020 with a total investment of 35 billion VND; project on strengthening, protecting and upgrading sea dykes and river dykes in Nga Son district, Thanh Hoa province (Phase 2), with a total investment of 255 billion VND; sea dyke and embankment project in Quang Thai commune (Quang Xuong district), with a total investment of more than 41 billion VND; Emergency handling of landslide incident on the right dike of Ma River from K39+550-K39+680 (Ham Rong ward, Thanh Hoa city) with a total investment of more than 20.7 billion VND.
The main construction units of the above projects include: Thanh Hoa Agricultural Construction Joint Stock Company and Thanh Hoa Agricultural and Rural Development Construction Corporation - JSC; Hai Son Development Investment Joint Stock Company - Corporation 86; Urban Development Investment Corporation - Joint Stock Company; Minh Tuan Construction Investment Joint Stock Company; Huy Hoan Construction Investment and Trading Joint Stock Company.
