High waves hit a ship anchored in Kien Hai Special Zone and sank

An Giang - While the boat was anchored about 300m from shore, it was suddenly hit by a strong wave, destroying the water, leading to its sinking into the sea.

On August 18, Hon Son Border Guard Station (An Giang Provincial Border Guard Command) said that the unit had just joined forces and people to support the rescue of a ship that sank due to a large wave.

Previously, on the evening of August 17, a transport vehicle with registration number KG 40xx TS owned by Mr. Tran Van Nguyen, born in 1982, residing in Thien Tue Hamlet, Kien Hai Special Zone, An Giang Province, had an accident in Lai Son sea area.

According to the report of Hon Son Border Guard Station, while anchored about 300m from the shore in Bai Gieng area, Thien Tue hamlet, the vehicle was suddenly hit by a strong waves, destroying the water, leading to its sinking into the sea.

In response to the emergency situation, local people have assisted in pulling the vehicle into the Bai Bang area to conduct the salvage. However, due to continuous large waves, rescue work encountered many difficulties.

The command of Hon Son Border Guard Station quickly sent officers and soldiers down to coordinate with forces standing in the area to pull the vehicle safely to shore.
