According to information from the Cam Quan commune government, the accident occurred at around 5:00 p.m. on May 18 when a truck with license plate 38C - 175xx was traveling from the highway to National Highway 1A when it reached the intersection with National Highway 8C and collided with a car with license plate 38A - 687xx traveling across the road from Cam Quan to Cam Xuyen town.
As a result, both vehicles fell into the fields and were severely damaged. Of which, all 4 people, including 1 adult and 3 children sitting in the car (all residing in Cam Due commune, Cam Xuyen district) were injured and had to be hospitalized for emergency care.
Immediately after the accident, the authorities were present to handle the scene, organize rescue, and investigate the cause.
At this intersection, there was also a traffic accident between a container truck and an electric motorbike that injured a woman.
The local government has also proposed solutions to ensure safety at this intersection with a high risk of accidents.
